Day 4 Recap

Well we have finally arrived in Globe, AZ, the headquarters of Arizona Reservation Ministries.  Everyone is resting for the start of a very busy week (except me, I'm blogging). We started off the day with an Easter breakfast with our host family, outside on the patio.  Together we went to a morning service at their church, Grove Bible Church. What a wonderful experience.  While an earlier service was still in session, we mingled with those waiting outside the church.  There were refreshments, artist were painting and musicians were singing as we met and shared with all new friends. The service was great, with a tremendous worship band and an artist on stage painting a mural of the resurrection throughout the service. The pastor shares a message on the resurrection.  Following the service we returned to our host's house for goodbyes  Tomorrow I hope to tell you more about this remarkable family and the ministry to our team there were.

We started on our way and celebrated a traditional Easter meal at Wendy's,  a quick trip to Wal-Mart for some supplies and then back on the road to Globe.  And what a road it was.  The desert is just starting to bloom, purples, yellows, reds and blues provided the counter-point to the desert green and grey.  We stopped a couple of times to take in some remarkable mountains and rocks.

We arrived in Globe and settled in at our headquarters, met the other team and our missionaries and ate dinner.  We learned a lot about what to expect over the next few days and are very excited about what God has in store for this week.

Please continue to pray for us.  I hope to blog this regularly, but our service is very spotty here in Globe so bear with me, okay?

God Bless and ttyl.

Jack
