Today was day two on the Rez. Robin and part of our team went onto the reservation to complete the caulking of two homes being built for Apache families. Jack and the rest of the team went to the ARM site to help build a shed for building supplies and tools. Today brought lots of up and down ladders and sore muscles from hammering countless nails, but at the end of the day we could look back and see what we have accomplished. The afternoon saw us back on the ministry bus and in the LaBomba neighborhood. It was another wonderful experience meeting the Apache children and sharing the love of Jesus with them. The children love the craft that Robin is doing with them and are taking the cross they make back with them into their homes. Pray that every time someone sees that little craft they are reminded that God loves them. We continue to meet together in the evenings for devotions and to pray and share in smaller groups. We are blessed by the community in Christ that we have become, praying for and encouraging one another. Tomorrow we will be back at the homes under construction working on exterior painting and then heading to another neighborhood for children's ministry.
