Day 8 and 9 Recaps

Well, yesterday we could not get any internet service.  Sorry for not updating our blog. Yesterday (Thursday) we were back on the Rez doing most of the rest of the painting on two more houses. The team worked very hard again.  It is a great motivation to remember that each day we work we are getting these homes one day closer to being done. And that means one day sooner for a family to have a new place to live. In the afternoon, we were back on the bus for our last day of bus ministry.  We were in the Indian Hills neighborhood.  Our team helped with the lesson and then played with the dozens of kids that came to the bus.  It was very hard to leave at the end of our time, knowing we would not be back. We were so proud of the ministry of the team this week.  They were terrific with the kids and really showed them that God loves them.

At dinner, we got to celebrate Tatyana's 17th birthday. Charlie, our chef and host, made a delicious ice cream
cake and everyone signed a giant birthday card.  The girls made Tatyana special cards and signs.  It was a great time being able to celebrate together.

On Friday, we worked at the ARM property.  Part of the team worked on building a new shed, putting up the walls and siding.  Another part of the team worked on demolishing the old dilapidated shed that was on the property before ARM acquired it.  There will be many sore arms tomorrow, but we will be back there working on the roof and finishing the siding.
